Further into the project I have traveled around different places capturing different aspects of the location I was in. I have a better understanding for how to use black and white photography to showcase the subject better.
In this original photo I was at a convention center in Atlanta, Georgia and noticed this interesting pattern on the floor. I noticed that the people in the background and the green of the plant may distract the viewers from the pattern.
In order to capture just the pattern caused by the shadow and eliminate any other distractions I edited the photo into black and white. I also increase the contrast and exposure to make the shadow pop from the sunlight around it.
