Vision and Strategy
My vision for my fashion photography project is contrast, specifically contrasting aesthetics. I want to combine vintage, light palettes and dark, edgy fashions. This concept interests me because I believe that it is unique. I want to blend the aesthetics in a pleasing and eye-catching way. I am planning on making a digital magazine or look book for the outfits I will put together.
My vision for my interior design photography project is to create small-scale living spaces. I would capture the process of making and arranging the pieces of furniture. I plan on making different rooms using things like a bookcase, mint tins, and shoe boxes. I chose to do this instead of working on large-scale interiors because I do not have the budget or resources like interior designers.
Research for Genre Choice
The research I conducted for choosing genres was by reading and watching videos. I had already known and been interested in fashion and interior photography but was excited to seek more information. I learned the different types of fashion photography, how to edit and work with models, ways to make small things look bigger, and how to use Photoshop.
Editing Style and Approach
The editing styles and approach that I will use are vintage, black and white, portrait, lighting, grain, blurring, collages, and editorial. I will experiment with color and lighting, as well as photoshop. My approach will be to prioritize design and colors by enhancing, saturating, and smoothing out images. For interior photography, I will need to polish it by straightening out lines, even out lighting, color correct, and adjust clarity and sharpness.

Project Design
For both genres, I will be making magazines or picture books. This is because both fashion and interior design are made to be editorial. They are both meant to be sold to a greater audience, be it a tee shirt or an interior designer. On the images, I will include the f/stop, ISO, and shutter speed. On the blog, I will put example pages with a link to the e-book magazine.
Summative Reflection on Description
I am going to write my summative reflection at the end of the year in this spot. In the reflection, I will include what worked for me, what didn’t work, and what I wish I had tried out if I had more time and resources. I will write about what I have learned from the experience overall.
