Light Table Project

Hello everyone! Welcome back for today’s post. For today’s post I practiced using translucent items on the light table to try and experiment my photographs to allow my images to appear illuminated and bring them to life.

As you are seeing here this is my first bracket. For this bracket I used a low a low exposure level of 0. By capturing of my mother’s glass perfume bottles to try and incorporate light passing through it making it appear translucent.

Now you are viewing my second bracket of photographs. In this bracket I used a glass bottle full of buttons as my translucent item. To capture a translucent image, for this I used a higher exposure of +1 to help bring more light into my subject illuminating it, and making it appear translucent.

Lastly, you are viewing my third, and final bracket. In this bracket I picked one of the leaves off the pink plants in our campus courtyard as my translucent item. For this I set my exposure higher to +3 to make my image become lighter, therefore making my image translucent. Also, I wanted to demonstrate that if you set a higher exposure, it can trick the camera into making your image overexposed.
