Manual Mode Project 2

Welcome back everyone for today’s post, in today’s post we focused on practicing using manual mode with the camera. I will be showing a series of photographs that I took using manual mode.

In this photograph, I captured strong foreground interest. I did this by capturing the sunflowers as the interest, and the background as the foreground. As you can see I blurred out the background just so that my audience’s interest is the sunflowers rather than the background.

In this photograph, I tried to capture drama. I did this by taking a picture of my dog Trixie outside siting by the road, so I thought maybe I could get a unique shot of her sitting by the road creating drama of wondering what she could be looking at? Who could she be looking at?

In this photograph, I tried to capture solitude. I did this by setting up my shot with a blank background so, and by having the trashcan in focus. Also, I used a slower shutter speed to make the photograph appear more darker therefore, making the photograph appear more sad and making the trash can seem like it’s alone.

In this photograph, I tried to capture movement. I did this by capturing my dog Trixie running. Meanwhile, it left a faint trial behind her body and legs making it seem as if she were running still when in reality the photograph is still.

In this photograph, I captured a photograph that works in black and white. I did this by changing the color settings in my camera to shoot in black and white. And I took this photograph in our campus courtyard of a staff member working in the grass.

In this photograph, I tried to successfully break photography rules. I did this by not incorporating the rule of thirds, and I didn’t include exposure. Lastly, I made the photograph very blurry therefore successfully breaking photography rules.

Lastly, in this photograph I captured an image of reflection. I did this by using my family’s “utility room”. I noticed the reflection of the white fence, and the yard reflecting off of the glass so, I thought that would represent reflection.
