Selfies With a Twist

This project I experienced different ways to take a selfie. My first step was to make a list of 25 things about me. I used that list to help me with my photos and ways to describe myself with the things on my list. For my photos I had to choose three ways to take my selfies. I decided to choose standard, a self-portrait with text and a conceptual portrait. I took all these photos using my phone.

This is my standard photo of me and my kitten Sprinkles. To take this photo I had to get my kitten to sit still which was very hard. I took this selfie in my sister’s room while I was helping her with homework.

This is my self-portrait with text photo. In this photo you can see I have writing on my mirror. I wrote “Everything is going to be okay” using an expo marker so I can wipe it off.

This is my conceptual portrait. For this photo I had to take a picture of objects that represent me. In this picture there’s nail polish, a makeup brush, perfumes, pink stickers, jewelry, claw clip, face oil and my favorite stuffed animal. All these objects are scattered on my carpet. I shot this photo overhead and my lighting is coming from my LED lights.
