Light Table Project

. For this project, I experimented with various translucent items on a light table. I manipulated the lighting to capture five distinct photo sets. In each case, I maintained an f-stop of 8.

In this photograph, I arranged a floral band onto of some pages. I positioned the camera overhead allowing the lights to illuminate the pages and flower petals. I set an f-stop of 8 and adjusted the exposure to+1.

In this picture I captured an image of cuticle oil. I positioned the nail brush alongside the container and took the shot from above highlighting the light reflecting through the bottom. I used an f-stop of 8 and set the exposure to -1.

For this picture I arranged lip glosses, perfume, nail oil, pages, a pearl necklace, and some flowers in the background. I placed the pages underneath the self-care items and jewelry, and I also positioned the lip brush besides the bright pink lip gloss. I intentionally arranged everything close together to create a cluttered look. To capture the image, I used a f-stop of 8 and adjusted the exposure to -1.

For this picture I focused on the nail oil and pearl necklace. I positioned the nail brush besides the nail oil, with a bit of it touching the pearl necklace. My concept for this photo was to capture the effect of the light shining through the nail oil and brush. To achieve this, I had a f-stop of 8 and an exposure of -1.

I decided to switch things up and use Uptasia’s glasses instead of using the self-care items I used in the other photos. The glasses have a clear appearance which makes this interesting. I held the camera above the glasses and zoomed in to capture details of her glasses. For this shot i had a f-stop of 8 and an exposure of -1.
