Family Heritage Project – Yana’s Photo Dump

This is the tiara that got passed down from my grandmothers 15th quince to my Tías 15th quince’s, my mothers quince, my cousins quince, then finally to my 15th. One day I’ll be passing this tiara down to my sister.

This is a white rose. White roses are all around my house they have been for years they bring good luck and my grandmother had lots of white roses

This is a metal tail comb. My family has been using these type of combs for a long time they’re mostly used for braiding, dreadlocks or sectioning parts of hair (etc)

This is a durag and a bonnet. My family have been using these for a while including a scarf they are used to protect your hair.

This is adobo seasoning. My family has been using this seasoning ever since I could remember, they use it for everything and still do.
